Courage and success.

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
It is the courage to continue that counts."
~Winston Churchill

In preparation for the insulation, we needed to remove the built in shelves and the last floor boards that were against the wall.

Melanie helped me remove the old Formica shelves that were next to the helm.  I think it took her a total of about 15 minutes to do this (with her very fancy, very cool power tools).

While she worked on the shelves, I removed the last section of floor boards:

We also removed the toilet:

I now have a toilet and a stove in my garage--waiting to be cleaned so that they are ready to be reinstalled.

A happy surprise was some unexpected help to remove the galvanized fuel fill pipes.  My friend, Jerry Williams stopped by to see what we were working on.  He taught me how to use the Sawzall and helped me remove the pipes!

It felt great to get those out--now I'm ready to install the fuel tanks and the holding tank.

And on a fun note, this pic shows a comparison of the old horns and the new.  So glad I decided to get new ones!
The old ones are on the left and the new ones (nice and shiny stainless steel) are on the right.

On Thursday, I am meeting with the insulation company.  The building will start soon.  :)

The renovation--the ReBirth--continues.
